Master of Arts in Christian Intercultural Studies and Mission

Program Overview
The Master of Arts in Christian Intercultural Studies and Covenant Ministry is designed for Christian workers who seek Christian Ministry & missions in the context of intercultural studies. In particular, this program is designed to defend and communicate the gospel to an atheistic and pluralistic society surrounded by the pluralistic and intercultural groups on the basis of God’s covenant as the key theme of both the Bible and Christian theology. This program keeps students to be balanced between intercultural flexibility and adaptation and God’s eternal word of the covenant. Through this program, students will be culturally sensitive and transformed leaders in intercultural settings.
Program Objectives and Learning Outcomes
MA in Christian Intercultural Studies and Mission degree program aims to:

Recognize God, the gospel, oneself and others in contexts of both intercultural studies perspectives and God’s eternal covenant.

Articulate a cross-cultural or international perspective concerning their professional training (e.g., in teaching, business, mission or development).

Demonstrate an integrated learning approach which includes academic formation (theological engagement), spiritual formation (church involvement) and mission (community engagement).

Synthesize biblical/theological, diasporic, cultural, and missiological perspectives in the lens of interdisciplinary approaches for the formation of a framework for world mission

Equip students for ministry in cross-cultural contexts to provide leadership for motivating, mobilizing and training great commission Christians.

Analyze historical and current trends in the globalization of cross-cultural evangelism and church planting.

Relate the gospel to the context of an atheistic and pluralistic society

Communicate a clear understanding of the dynamic nature of the gospel, the spiritual and cultural traits of a growing church, the deeply intertwined relationship between the gospel and culture in which God’s self-revelation was given in culture
